Pretrial Intervention (PTI)

ARRESTED FOR THE FIRST TIME? You may be eligible for a second chance through Pretrial Intervention What is PTI? PTI is a program designed for first-time offenders of non-violent crimes. This program consists of counseling, education, community service work, and other requirements that the participant must complete. Successful completion of this program will allow for the arrest record to be destroyed. The goal of this program is to give first-time offenders a second chance. Offenders may participate in this program only one time.
Who is eligible for PTI? The PTI Act of 1980 states that PTI shall be appropriate where:

Why should you participate in PTI? A conviction will remain on your arrest record for the rest of your life. PTI will offer you a chance to clear this charge from your arrest record. How does PTI work? Application-The offender will
bring in the warrant or ticket and a non-refundable fee of $100.00
(money order). An interview will be conducted to gather
background information.
